We are assisted by several recovering addicts that share their stories in hopes of educating others on the very real consequences of the decisions we make.
In addition, our mobile mock teen bedroom "Hidden in Plain Sight" trailer is available for school open houses, College/University RA training, or other appropriate community events.

Vaping using e-cigs, vape pens, Juuls is becoming a serious problem as recent studies show a large percentage of youth are using these products. It is not just flavoring. And the marketing with flavors is getting a whole new generation addicted to nicotine. To add to the concern, ANY drug that can be liquified can be vaped. So what is really in that vape pen? "Stash containers" can be made or purchased. The Red Bull and water bottle in this photo have hollow storage areas accessed by twisting the lid off or separating the top and bottom sections. Pill cutters, small pieces of window screen or faucet aerators (used as screens or sieves), spoons (can be bent or have evidence of residue but not always), grinders (the green circular device in the photo used to process buds/leaves), are all common items young people who are using substances may use. Vanilla and other common items (hand sanitizer and mouthwash for example) have very high alcohol content. Some people ingest them in an attempt to get drunk. Pam and any other aerosol are used in huffing in an effort to inhale the propellent in the can. Hollow pens, rolled dollar bills, straws can be indicators of snorting (inhaling crushed pills or drugs in powder form). Small wax bags, plastic bags with logos or pieces of knotted plastic are all common packaging for drugs. 7-up, jolly ranchers and codeine cough syrup are mixed by teens and promoted by several pop culture celebrities and songs. Every year we do a Red Ribbon Challenge for all County Schools! We ask them to show us their Drug Free Spirit in a picture. The winners are shown on a local billboard! All schools are encouraged to participate as part of Red Ribbon Week in October of each year! Below are some of our submittals over the years!
